The children who have completed your program transitioned seamlessly into the classroom. They were well prepared not only with emerging academic skills, but also with essential whole-child readiness skills.

Some helpful skills and behaviors for children entering our program include self-care abilities (handwashing, bathroom independence, and managing their belongings), fine motor development (proper pencil grasp, scissor skills, and familiarity with other classroom tools), and social-emotional skills (following directions, engaging in daily routines, communicating their needs, and interacting positively with peers). These foundational skills will allow children to be well-prepared for a classroom setting, allowing teachers to focus more on nurturing growth, curiosity, and learning experiences rather than on basic adjustments.

As a first-time parent I had no idea what to expect or how to prepare my child for school. There are basic skills — attention, listening, manners, early academic concepts — that require training and consistency, and I didn’t know where to start. Hiring Ms. Joanna was the best decision we ever made. When we met her, my eldest had a history of failure to thrive as an infant, a speech delay, and was extremely shy.
